Pictures are finally here.

Its been a few weeks.  Miss Renee and Miss Judy have had a hard time getting pictures of our Goose Family.  Momma and Poppa are very protective and kept the babies away from people when they were very small.  Yet we have our first picture.  Aren't they a nice looking family?

We've also had some news that there are other goose families who have been visiting as well.  A family of 6 and a family of 7.  So our friends have plenty of playmates and babysitters.  Here is a picture of one of the visiting families.  How many babies can you count?  Its nice that the goslings all appear to be around the same age.
Its hard to see but there are 6 babies here

The Babies are HERE!

Our friends the Canadian Geese have just had their babies.
They were born on Friday, May 10 (possibly Thursday, May 9).  Momma and Poppa (and us the proud uncles!) were blessed with three little goslings.  They are cute little bundles of yellow fluff but are swimming strong.  Currently they are hard to catch a glimpse of as Mom and Pop are very protective, and keep them well away from people.  But you can see them occassionlly swimming in the pond or waddling across the surrounding grass.  We are very excited and very happy for our Goose friends.
We hope to have pictures to share soon.

Canada Goose Family Coming Soon?

We have learned that there is a Canada Goose on a small island out in the river behind the library that is sitting on a nest.  She has been sitting very quietly for about 2 weeks now.  We're aren't positive but the staff at the library thinks that she may be sitting on some eggs.  No one has seen them to be sure.  We're very excited to think that there may be a Mama and her family soon.  The Papa was spotted this afternoon nearby so he is taking good care of Mama.  Hey maybe pretty soon we'll be uncles!
