IT'S OUR PAGE NOW

Hi - we've decided to take over the children's blog.  The library has a brand new website now at http://www.auburnlibrary.org/.  If you haven't been to it yet you should take a look.  We have and it's pretty cool.  We didn't tell Miss Renee but since she now has that website for letting people know about kid's programs we've decided to take over the blog page and start our own journal.  We'll be doing our journal together.  Percy's voice will be in blue text and Kyp's voice will be in orange text.  We'll use black for talking together.

Now to get to business - first about us.
     We came to the library on March 1, 2010.  We spent the first week in the back room trying to figure out who all these new people were.  We very quickly learned that Miss Renee was our go to person, but she kept telling us about the children's room.  It took a while to adjust since the library is very different from the pet store.  Eventually we found out what a children's room was.  Our second week at the library Miss Renee took us out there.  Man was it busy and don't forget loud.  There were all kinds of little people we learned were kids.  It took some time but we soon were very comfortable.  Now we're pros (though we still don't like cage cleaning day - it ruffles our feathers when Miss Renee cleans - I mean you get your home the way you want and then she comes along and changes it). 
Oh for those of you who are still confused about who is who lets clear that up:
First we are both Zebra finches (zebra finches are native to Australia but have been bred in captivity for over a 100 years)
Percy: I'm larger than Kyp (only by just a bit).  I also have two little white marks on my head, Miss Renee says they look a little like eyebrows but I don't know what eyebrows are so I don't know if she's right.  The easiest way to tell I'm me is by my breast band (the colored section of my chest) which is gray.
Kyp: I may be smaller than Percy but I'm in charge (you wish).  I have a large white spot on my head that Miss Renee says is hard to miss.  My breast band is more black than gray, so that makes it easy to tell me from Percy.  Miss Renee also says that I'm the one that gets into trouble a lot but you can't believe what she says - I'm a perfect angel ;)
