Like Kyp said our Friday was crazy, but the rest of the weekend we were on our own for the most part. Though I did see a few librarians sneeking in to do some work. (They never quit do they) Anyway we did the usual over the weekend - sleep, fly, eat, bath and occassional annoy each other - the cage is small what do you expect. Anyway we did do something interesting this weekend - we excaped. Now don't go telling the librarians especially Miss Renee, but we got a good look around this home of ours and there are some really neat things here.
What we found really cool was books in the nonfiction section. Did you know there is an entire section on birds. (Again a section we were not in) I was getting to that. The bird section in the kids room is found in jnf 598. There are no books on Zebra Finches but Kyp and I found a really cool book called How Do Birds Fly by Melissa Stewart. It had all kinds on neat facts: like our bones a hollow to make us lighter which helps us fly. Oooh I like the fact that we actually do have ears, but their found inside our head so as to cut down on wind resistance - How cool is that?!?! Yeah that was cool - the section on eating was great too - it tells you why we always have to have food. It takes a lot of energy to fly.
Anyway the book was really cool. In fact we think we might take to exploring more of the library. Oh and if you see Miss Renee see if you can get her to get a children's book on zebra finches.

Hi Percy and Kyp,
I am well aware that you guys explored the library. No, no one told on you. But Marigold and Poppy used to explore the library at night whenthey were alone. I'm just surprised it took you this long to explore.
As to your comment about the lack of Zebra Finch books, there are two books on zebra finches in the adult section of the library (section 636.6). I haven't found a book all about you for the children's section, but I did find an alphabet book on birds and you guys are in there. So I will be ordering it soon.
Have fun exploring - I'm glad you enjoyed the nonfiction section, make sure you check out fiction as well.
Oh and do me one favor - stay off the computers.
Miss Renee
